A J McArthur of 413 Ridgecrest drive drove a new Chevrolet sedan into a telephone pole a state highway sign and a mailbox then crashed into 890 Mont Hew avenue leaving the house damaged and a dethroned top of a pole hanging on power lines. He was arrested on charges of driving an automobile intoxicated and reckless driving and freed on 600 bond. A companion identified as Claude Hughes was not yet located.

Bantam Eggs Show Tiny Peanut Shaped Oddities
A bantam hen owned by W. L. Whitlow, living at 1011 Asheboro Street, laid eggs showing three freak shapes. One egg resembles a peanut and is under an inch long, while the other two are slightly larger but still much smaller than normal bantam eggs. Whitlow is not sure if one hen laid all the eggs or multiple hens.
