Greg Buckingham 21 Improves Surpasses Past Olympic Benchmarks
Greg Buckingham, Stanford junior and top NCAA swimmer, has become the sport’s most improved despite not burning out or retiring. He set American records in the 200 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle and placed second to Mike Burton in the 1650 yard freestyle, signaling a strong bid for the 1968 Olympics as Don Schollander remains a prime rival.
