Istanbul April 9 AP United States Ambassador Robert T Skinner announced Samuel Insull could be placed aboard a vessel sailing for America Wednesday. He said American agents expected to reach a final decision within a few hours.
A petition in the House seeks immediate reporting of the McLeod bill to guarantee 100 percent deposits for closed banks with the RFC buying assets and liquidating over ten years. Jones and RFC oppose, Brown proposes a rival plan extending to nonmember state banks.
High Point figure Coke Cecil known as Coke was chosen president of the North Carolina Pharmaceutical Association. A native born February 11 1897 he trained at UNC Chapel Hill served in chemical warfare and worked with Vicks and Liggett drugs before opening Cecil's Cut-Rate Drug Store in 1925. He chairs the High Point township Republican party and holds multiple civic posts and magician hobby. He is married Louise Bowman and they have daughter Mary Lou.
The Senate banking committee approved a new three member commission to regulate stock exchanges replacing the Federal Reserve Board and FTC. President Roosevelt and supporters favored final passage while opponents sought to strike the bill’s purposes section. The panel anticipated eliminating fixed margin rules and transferring all power to the new commission.

Authorities also noted Texas escaped convict Raymond Hamilton disavowing Barrow links and suspected Henry Methvin joining Barrow while near the Mexican border. Federal and local units ordered vigilance for Dillinger as the search continued on multiple fronts.
In Detroit on April 9 the Hudson Motor Car Co shut down at 1 p m due to part shortages from a Motor Products strike. About 1,000 Motor Products workers walked out last week, paralyzing 600 other employees. The AFL charged the federal automobile labor board with slow election setup and mediation instead of binding decisions. The board aims to end the Motor Products, Nash, and affiliated plants strikes, with a March on negotiations and renewed talks planned.
Warsaw police announced a crackdown on an international forgery ring that produced counterfeit U S currency French bank notes Polish bonds and English dole certificates. Scotland Yard aided by sending two operatives to Warsaw as leaders were arrested and authorities pursue the counterfeit plant with the group largely targeting the English market.
A rock slide from Storm King mountain struck a scenic highway near West Point New York killing Mrs Otto Seilheimer 28 and her son Otto Jr 8 and Lambert Shacknis 27 of Brooklyn. Mrs Shacknis was injured and Mrs Seilheimers daughter Geraldine 18 months survived.
Speaker Rainey released a document claim alleging Dr. William A. Wirt once favored farm programs and a gold dollar revaluation in 1932. Rainey said Wirt’s views shifted, accusing him of communistic leanings. Wirt was to be questioned by a House investigating committee on tomorrow.

Emory Callahan signed a confession claiming he originated a $10,000 extortion plot against M. Hanna a Cleveland financier. Callahan and Sam Pullian were arrested in Thomasville where they worked for about a year. Confession secured by the sheriff and postal inspector T. N. Overstreet.
Edna Lancaster, 22, died when her car skid and overturned on a slippery highway near Roanoke Rapids. Four occupants were involved. three others were slightly injured as the automobile skidded while braking.
