Bowman hosts a 12 year weekly radio program The Collision Station in the Dutch West Indies. Evening services at 7 30 p m with nursery care provided. Pastor Rev Charlie Monk Jr leads the church.
Rev. V. J. Shetler’s call as minister at First Church of the Nazarene on E Green Drive has been extended for four years. He has served 34 years in the Nazarene ministry and 10 years as pastor in Roanoke before coming to High Point.
Evangelist Rev. Joe D. Coltrane of Abbotts Creek Baptist Church will preach at revival services starting at 7 p m tomorrow at E Grimes Avenue Baptist Chapel. Weeknight services begin at 7 30 p m and run through Sunday April 16 with special music at each service.
Jamestown Baptist Church closes Youth Week with the Young People leading services Tomorrow. They will teach all Sunday school classes from junior to senior division. Richard Trexler youth pastor delivers the message at morning worship. Youth officers include Jerry Williams Barry Sharrock Cynthia Dillon Rita Bentley.
Calvary Temple Baptist Church Blair Street plans an old fashioned Sunday with long frocks bonnets and men in overalls. Oil lamps illuminate the building as the Carolinians Quartet performs older hymns. Revival begins Monday at 7:30 p.m. led by Rev Lloyd Walters of Landis.
Beginning tomorrow a week long revival at Fairview Methodist Church on Route 1 Trinity runs through next Sunday. Visiting minister Rev. James C. Lentz of World Gospel Mission Marion Ind leads the revival with Rev. Charles Walker, Fairview pastor. Services start 11 a.m. on Sundays and 7 30 p.m. in the evenings.
Rev. John A. Pless of Lexington will be installed as executive director of North Carolina Lutheran Homes at 4 p.m. tomorrow at First Lutheran Church Albemarle. Attending are Dr. George R. Whittaker of Salisbury president of the NC Synod Rev. C. Ross Ritchie and Rev. Robert N. Peery. Pless succeeds Dr. J. L. Norris who led the Homes since its 1960 start and previously served as St. Luke Pilgrim pastorates in Lexington and as board president before his appointment.
Rev. C. L. Ruth of High Point will be guest speaker at Mount Zion Pilgrim Church during the 11 a.m. worship tomorrow in Thomasville.
Laymen's Day will be observed Sunday at 11 o'clock in the First Methodist Church. Gilbert H. Weant directs. participants include W. B. Gray Mrs. H. A. Moffitt and W. G. Ervin. Speaker W Walter Smith of Metropolitan Life Insurance resides in Rutherfordton and is noted for wide speaking across Underwriter associations civic groups and church meetings.

Thomasville reports the revival at Rich Fork Baptist Church concludes tomorrow morning with high attendance day. Pastor Rev. James Helvey Jr. aims for 253 attendees and 90 percent of Sunday school enrollment as the 10 30 a m service marks the evangelistic emphasis.
First Church of God and Protestant churches announce National Christian College Day. About 450 of the nation’s 2200 higher education institutions are supported by Protestant denominations. First Church of God of High Point aids five colleges with 2000+ students. Evening service moves to 7 p.m. on April 9.
