Robins Club met at the YWCA on Thursday evening where Mrs. J. C. Fuller presented slides on housing for High Point seniors and low income families. She contrasted local conditions with a Texas housing project and noted support from the national and local YWCA for sound housing projects. Hostesses were Miss Rose File and Mrs. Connie Duncan with Easter theme decor.
The Trindale Woman's Club of Archdale and Trinity will hold a dinner meeting at Emerywood Country Club Tuesday at 7 PM. Mrs C G Mackintosh will be guest speaker and oversee installation of officers for the new club.
The Busy Bee Garden Club will meet Tuesday at 2 PM at 2701 N Centennial St home of Mrs W J Anderson. The program will discuss azaleas and camellias.
Spade n Grow Garden Club will meet at 7 30 p m Thursday at the home of Mrs R G Skeen Rt 3 High Point. The event invites members to gather for the session.
Union Hill Home Demonstration Club will gather Thursday at 1 30 p m at 1112 Cleveland Ave hosted by Mrs Bob Bates. Members from the Union Hill community are invited to attend the afternoon meeting.
Mrs Zack Anderson will entertain Garden Club members at 113 Orville Drive on Monday evening at 7:30 for a planned meeting and social hours.
VFW Post 1960 Auxiliary held a joint meeting at the post home on W Burton Street to install officers including President Mrs T C Potts and Secretary Mrs Lillian Suttenfield. Potts conducted the meeting and welcomed new members Mrs Pauline Cleavenger and Miss Sara Boone as two new affiliates.
Mr and Mrs Pat L Taylor of Cuyahoga Falls announce the birth of Jeffrey Lee on March 31. Mrs Taylor is the former Patsy Bullin of High Point. Mr and Mrs Thomas M Hedrick announce Pamela Gail born April 4 at High Point Memorial Hospital. The Longs announce Alison Maria born April 4 at High Point hospital. The Hoovers announce Marcia Elaine born April 6 at the local hospital. Thomas H Williams Jr and Mrs Williams announce Thomas Holland Jr born April 5 at High Point hospital. The Ellis announce David Charles born April 4 at High Point Memorial.
Mrs. W. C. Burge will entertain members of the Out-To-Grow Garden Club at her Trinity home on Thursday at 10 a.m. The meeting reflects the club's neighborhood gathering and social event.
Mrs. Harry Hawthorne of High Point led a flower arranging workshop for Forestdale Garden Club at Jamestown Elementary School. Hostesses were Mrs. Jim Jackson and Mrs. W. D. Moore. The event featured three contemporary styles and a tea time arrangement with live demos.
