One-Act Play Festival Set At UNC Chapel Hill
Thirty five one act plays from senior colleges junior colleges and high schools will be presented at the 24th annual Carolina dramatic association festival in Playmakers theatre UNC Chapel Hill April 10 11 12 Hans Rothe Madrid guest lecturer will give an illustrated talk on Max Reinhardt April 11 at 10 30 am opening a program featuring city and county high school groups and school drama clubs from Asheville Raleigh Winston-Salem Greensboro Greenville Hendersonville and other towns in a varied schedule of morning and afternoon performances.

UNC Band In Concert Set For April 13 at Memorial Hall
The University of North Carolina band with 90 members directed by Prof Earl Slocum will perform its annual spring concert in Memorial Hall Chapel Hill on Sunday afternoon April 13 at 4 oclock. Featured soloists are Paul Vittur from Roxboro trombonist and Billy Thompson a Chapel Hill grammar school student on xylophone. They will perform Adagio from Cello concerto by Joseph Hadyk and Peters Chinese Nightmare by C W Coons respectively with other works including Amparito Roco the Merry Wives of Windsor Overture Americanes Street Scene La Sorella March Perpetuum Mobile First Norwegian Rhapsody and Jericho.
