Convention Set For Daniel Boone District 2 Event
The High Point chosen site hosts the April 11 convention of the Daniel Boone District 2 Supreme Forest Woodmen Circle. Piedmont Grove 172 will head the hostess group with Mrs. Nellie Marsh of High Point presiding. Registration begins at 4 30 p m followed by a banquet at 5 30 p m. Mrs Marsh will be toastmistress and Mrs Georgia Shepard of Jacksonville national attendee and state manager of Eastern North Carolina will be guest speaker. Evening session starts at 7 o clock. Gardale Grove 292 of Durham led by Mrs Sylvia Brewer assists with the ritualistic demonstration. Other guests include Mrs Sue Morehead of Shelby and state officers and committee women including Ethel Whiteside Stella Morrison Jayne Campbell Sarah Stainback Kate Oakes Thelma Trogdon Florence Hartman Virginia Humble Bessie Lineberry Sue Jackson Mary Scott Newton Craven and Annie Jarr is Ellington leads local arrangements with Ruby Craven Carrie Whitlock and Mrs Marsh assisting. The Supreme Forest Woodmen Circle remains a fraternal organization offering membership to entire families.
