Navy denies Soviet plane surveillance near Pribilof Islands

The Navy said it has no knowledge of Soviet planes surveilling a Soviet fishing fleet near the Pribilof Islands off Alaska. Sen. Magnuson claimed Adm. Burke reported about 50 fishing craft and 14 support vessels under surveillance, but Navy officials said no such activity was observed.
