Beck Says Prison Made Him Healthier and Ready to Lead Again
Seattle AP reports former Teamsters president Dave Beck, released from McNeil Island in 1964, says prison improved his health and he believes James Hoffa can come out healthier as well. Beck, 72, praises exercise and austere diet, notes Hoffa’s absence harms the union but not its strength. He remains involved in real estate investments and maintains a confident outlook.
