Benefit Dinner-Dance by ABWA At Top Of The Mart
Ed Kemp spoke at the Ameri can Business Women's Assn. dinner dance held Saturday at Top Of The Mart. Dinner ran 7:30 to 8:30 pm followed by dancing to Bert Smith and his Mellotones. About 275 attended. proceeds fund two scholarships. Other acts included The Men's Den fashion show and Melvin Walker with Vern's Dance Studio. Door prizes were donated by several local businesses. Co chairs were Mrs. Emma Dozier and Mrs. Alman Reames.

Miss Diane Lynn Newsom daughter of Mr and Mrs Emory E Newsom and Donald Ray Hill son of Mr and Mrs William Wesley Hill were married yesterday at Clear Springs Methodist Church in a 4 pm ceremony. The Rev W H Yokeley officiated with organist Renee Surratt and vocalist Mrs Lamar Hearne. The bride wore white silk organza with ornate bodice and long sleeves. The matron of honor wore celery chiffon with a Dior bow while bridesmaids wore yellow. Flowers featured yellow chrysanthemums and white orchids. The couple plans to reside in Denton and will celebrate with a church reception featuring yellow and white flowers and a tiered cake.
