Mears Plans Third World Flight With Breese

United Press Los Angeles April 1. John Henry Mears and Vance Breese plot a 19,000 mile global flight to beat the world record. They will travel from New York via Harbor Grace Dublin Berlin Moscow across Siberia and the North Pacific to Seattle before a transcontinental leg back to New York. Breese, an aeronautical designer, will take May vacation aboard the mission to test a new Lockheed design and seek a faster crossing.

Salisbury Pastor Dies At His Home

Dr. Byron Clark longtime pastor of the First Presbyterian church in Salisbury, N C, died suddenly at his home last night. He was a Clark ton native and Princeton alumnus who studied with Woodrow Wilson in the same class as Robert E Speer and Booth Tarkington. He led Salisbury church for 18 years before retirement due to ill health and previously pastored Mount Washington Church in Baltimore for 10 years.
