Dan McKenzie returned from England as agent for Ivey Hice Co visiting with his brother Marie McKenzie. P. K. Baker builds a large barn on his lot. Denry Miller has the contract and will finish soon. J. S. Bradley’s little daughter recovered from illness. Mrs. W. A. Bumgarner improving. W. R. Pierce of Charlotte visiting his sons Zeb and John. Rev. J. F. Lundy preached at John Huffman’s house. Frank Williams of Shelby at the mill. Charles Travis returned from High Schools to Ivey. Roby Hamby left for Danville Virginia. Miss Clarissa Mitchell went to High Schools to visit friends. Miss Minda Buff and Mr. Jhus Butler married here October 1 at W. A. Lenhour’s residence. Marve Mitchem moved to Gastonia to work in the mill. Success to the Democrat.
