Attorney General Moody issues circular to United States attorneys directing thorough investigation of violations of the eight hour law in public works. Government will pursue indictments where solid evidence is found.
Police today identified a man linked to a bomb at Gen. Rhelabot seen as brother of Mazury, leader of terrorist group. Reports say Mazury brothers faced execution and prison for various crimes, with ongoing struggles as authorities seize suspects and pursue actions tied to revolutionary networks.
Asheville reports a telegram from Aberdeen Washington confirming Walter Hyatt the wife’s brother was killed in Washington. Hyatt, an engineer at a Sew mill, left Asheville April 15. his brother Dan sent the telegraph saying he had been in Washington for years. The deceased had a long life in Buncombe county and many local friends.
Delmar, chief counsel for Harry K Thaw, says he visited Thaw in his cell and found him a nervous wreck. He reports Thaw showed great excitement and a highly nervous temperament after a single interview conducted yesterday or at noon.
R Zimmerman pleaded guilty in Federal Court to conspiring to wreck a national bank in Cleveland Ohio. He was sentenced to two years in the penitentiary and fined 1000. Zimmerman chaired the board of directors of the Wooster National Bank which failed about two years ago.
London aware of Karl Hau alias Stau a Washington lawyer held on murder charges in Baden Baden. The State Department through the American Consulate General has sent all available information and awaits extradition papers expected by November 15. Hau has not yet secured counsel and did not respond to questions about American assistance.
Boston November 13 Mrs Hetty Green the wealthiest woman in the United States denounces trusts calling them iniquitous and predicts a coming revolution in the country. She warns that the people will rise and the streets will run with blood when roused by the oppressions of the trusts.

Secretary Metcalf arrives in San Francisco to study the exclusion of Japanese children from schools and to document statistics. He will report to Washington, citing complaints of boycotts toward Japanese businesses and multiple encounters between Japanese and white residents.
A west bound Missouri Pacific passenger train at full speed derailed near Glencoe twenty seven miles west of St. Louis. The train plunged into an embankment tearing up 200 feet of track but all on board escaped with only cuts and bruises.
George H. Lyman collector of the port of Boston reached Richmond with a Boston companion on November 13 seeking urgent business in Norfolk. Unable to catch the Cannon Ball Express, Lyman chartered a Norfolk and Western train at $120 to transfer to their destination, the locomotive baggage and passenger car making up the modest conveyance.
Augusta business and church leader E R Derry, secretary and treasurer of the Augusta Real Estate and Building Association, has been indicted for embezzling about $100,000. He is 60 and from a prominent family. In another item, Jacob Steen, 91, and his twin Alonzo Steen of Syracuse are reported critically ill at home, noted for long health and age.

A federal grand jury in Pensacola returned another indictment charging conspiracy to commit peonage. Named defendants include W. S. Harlan manager of Jackson Lumber Co. Lockport Alabama Robert Gallagher foreman Oscar Sanders interpreter and John Atwell Walton County deputy sheriff. The case concerns detaining and coercing two foreigners into peonage.
Investigation into the Southern Express Company in Salisbury reveals about $1,000 in money bags missing from the office. Night clerk W. S. Gray, aged 17 or 18 from Gavenebore, vanished after Sunday. Superintendent Sadler of Charlotte investigated and then left. Gray is suspected but unlocated.
Greensboro dispatch reports United States marshals ordered to Salisbury to retrieve Irvin Talley a convicted counterfeiter missing from Baltimore jail since last September. The case highlights potential misconduct probes if shooter Skeene’s victim George Wilson dies from a back wound. Also notes Bishop A W Wilson traveling to Mt Airy for Western North Carolina Conference and the dedication of a new M E Church at Muir four miles from Greensboro. Iowa veterans head to the South to dedicate thirty monuments at Vicksburg Shiloh Lookout Mountain Missionary Ridge and Andersonville sites.
Salem marks its 40th anniversary with Moravian church services led by Rt. Rev. Edward Ronthaler including a festal service, sermon, love feast, and communion. The town, founded by Moravians from Bethlehem under Bishop De Schweinitz, hosts a board of trade meeting electing officers and discussing railroad and telephone matters.
Governor Glenn granted pardons to four offenders under sentence in the penitentiary and refused pardons to seven. one commutation granted. Recipients include Willie Phipher, 12, of Mecklenburg, an 18 month term for bicycle theft, pardoned for good behavior. Other pardons: Frank Powers, Burke county, burglary two years. John Evans, Rockingham, assault and battery 12 months. Walter Nelson, Buncombe, aiding escape 18 months. John Geddy, Buncombe, forcible trespass two years. Also a commutation noted. In Youngstown, Maggie Italone, 11, sent to Girls Industrial School, Delaware, after months of robberies dressed as a boy.
In Greenville on November 12, the Wegro Bank was closed by the State Bank Examiner Holloman pending an inspection. The four year old institution of Working Man's Savings & Loan Co may be the bank involved and no financial statement has yet been released.
A Lexington man named Cline, employed by Lane Brothers at a steam shovel near town, was accidentally shot and killed yesterday afternoon while washing his hands when a pistol fell from his hip pocket. He lived in Kentucky and boarded in Lexington. his body was sent to his home today.
