Death of John Miller of Burke County and Ex-Congressman W. H. Bower
John Miller of Burke County died Monday night at mis farm and mill on Henry Silver six miles from Connelly Springs from neuralgia. He would have turned 83 on the 26th. A lifelong Christian and Baptist, he spoke of heaven hours before his death. Funeral from old Robinson burying place today at 10. He leaves L. F. Muller W. of Burke, Mrs. T. Allan Cleveland, Mrs. Frank Vanhorn Brookford, R. E. Nashville Tenn, Mrs. Jennie Wilson Iredell, Mrs. Jesse Fisher Catawba, Mrs. Mary Hales Tennessee. He lived at Ramsour's Mill and Horseford's Ford in earlier life and resided in Burke for 34 years. Ex-Congressman W H Bower died at home after years of illness including paralysis and strokes, the last recent.
