The pastor attended Mrs. Sidney Shuford’s funeral at Race Church on June 20. The congregation will join the Woman's Classical Missionary Society of the North Carolina Classis on August 1. The pastor will preach next Sunday morning and night.

Constable J Porter Burns demonstrated nerve in subduing desperado Tom Warren after Warren shot at L L Moss and pursued him to a near beer stand.
