Dr. and Mrs. E. Reid Russell of Asheville visited Hickory last week and purchased the A. F. Abernethy lot at Fourteenth street and Eleventh avenue for about 4200, including street improvements. He plans a first class modern office building with electric lights and steam heat, and hopes to occupy it himself in the future.

Orphanage Day is set for the first Sunday in March with Prof. H A Hayes leading the 11 o'clock service on March 5th, accompanied by fifteen children from the home and their participation in the service.

David Isenhour Passes Away in Our Community
David Isenhour aged 88 years 9 months 12 days died February 16 and was buried at St Peters Church after services by Rev P C Henry. He served in the war between the States, wife died in 1903, seven children four boys and three girls, four living. He long served the Lutheran church and spent his later years at the home of Mrs. Noah Yount. The family thanks relatives and friends for help during the past seven months.
