Society Notes Highlight Hickory Book Club and Local Gatherings
Miss Emily Wateler leads a Hickory Book Club meeting on Wednesday with most members present except Mrs. Shuford in New York. Discussions span Fenwick's career and Hutton's Literary Landmarks of Jerusalem, followed by festive room decor. Numerous society events unfold including Bridge at Mrs. Menzies, a Round Dozen Club program, and multiple whist and piano evenings through December with prizes, guests, and Christmas sentiments. County officers also post bonds for various sums with named sureties, set against a backdrop of holiday generosity.
