Hickory boy saved from freight car by conductor
On Wednesday between three and four o clock Timmey of Hickory rode atop an extra freight of the 3 & N. W. in passing under the Poplar street bridge he was struck and knocked down but the conductor caught him. He was treated by Drs. Wise and Wright at the Keener House then returned home. Officials say he will likely recover in a few days.
