Thanksgiving Social Notes From Hickory Locales
Hickory social pages report Thanksgiving gatherings and visits among residents. Misses Rose Martin Glady Reid Adelide Johnson and Beatrice Cole along with Frances Lentz and others share time at Davidson Claremont and home visits. Dr Hun sucker plans to locate for practice January 1, with many local families hosting guests and attending events at hotels and churches. Community clubs hold meetings at Whitener Martins store and a sale planned by Episcopal Church ladies. A small legal note covers a compulsory school law case with a $25 fine and four month attendance requirement. A wedding, contracts for sand for a government building, and a driver hire for Hickory’s fire truck are noted amid a lively sequence of social gatherings and club activities.
