Fine Specimens of Apples From Hershey Area Farm
J. H. Schwartz, a farmer two miles south of Hershey, reports a four and a half year old apple tree bearing 20 oz apples weighing 3.25 to 3.5 lbs. He has picked 5 bushels this fall and is selling apples at 8 cents each on the market.

Red Cross Dance a Splendid Success at Hershey Park
The Hershey Red Cross Branch held a Wednesday dance at the Hershey Park Pavilion. The spacious floor filled with dancers as the orchestra played well. Four young ladies Bessye Whittle Minnie Whittle Mildred Killian Katherine Snavely circulated with a large American flag collecting contributions. Mrs Samuel Foster whose husband is a captain in France sold cigarettes for soldiers.
