Queen of Valley Engineer Hurt on Hershey Run
Monday morning the Queen of the Valley railroad train at Hershey, traveling over fifty mph, injured Engineer Hiram Snavely after his shoulder was struck by an extended mail bar. His son Claude Schuyler and road foreman Peter Schuyler aided him. the train stopped at Derry Church and resumed to Harrisburg. The engineer was taken to Harrisburg General Hospital. reports of the arm being torn from its socket were false, and his injuries are serious but not dangerous. A new state law requires engine cabs to be visible to the fireman.

Hershey autumn season opens next week with a major art exhibit at the M. S. Hershey Consolidated Schools. Fire at Palmyra barn causes $6000 loss
A fire on a Palmyra farm along the main street end destroyed a barn owned by Eugene W Bowman and J Spayd Bomberger. Threshing was in progress when sparks from the machine likely started the blaze.
