The Hershey township reports nine hundred ten students enrolled for the term. The Supervising Principal notes mostly satisfactory attendance amid a month of renewed schoolwork and socialization between pupils and teachers. Three violations of compulsory school law were handled under the law’s provisions. The Press attempts to publish the full pupil roster, listing names across Senior Junior Sophomore and Freshman classes with numerous individuals from Emmett Basehore to Arthur Heisey. D J Kenney district manager of the Woodmen of the World at Reading reports steady growth in Hershey with 215 members. A class of five will be initiated Oct 17 and a new Florin camp is planned with a 25 member class. The local camp lists officers and a 16 member uniformed rank. The Woodmen of the World, a leading fraternal life insurer, has distributed over 150 million to widows and children and over 3 million in disability benefits to living members, with about 950 thousand members nationwide.

The Hershey Red Cross hosted a Baby Show led by Miss Elizabeth High with a committee of Mrs. Ezra Hershey Mrs. W Ross Espenshade and Mrs. Chance Phillips. Thirty eight babies under four attended from Hershey Campbelltown Palmyra Hockersville and surrounding areas. Prizes for best developed prettiest and fattest baby went to Dorothy May Parson Betty Ruth Hess and Louise Boyer Hewitt, each baby winning a dollar. Each child received a rattle and mothers a care booklet. refreshments followed in a joyous afternoon.
