War Trophies Train Arrives in Hershey Friday

A special train carrying trophies from France Belgium and other countries will reach Hershey on Friday October 11 at 9 AM and stay until 9 50 AM. It will be on the Freight Station siding. The Liberty Loan Committee of the 3rd Federal Reserve District sponsors the exhibit. T P Myers will lead the party along with four speakers a Marine guard and other staff.

Liberty Loan Rally Draws Full Park Theatre

The Liberty Loan Rally in Hershey at the Park Theatre drew near capacity thanks to Saturday’s placards and Monday preparations. Capt A Wells Ingram of the British Red Cross spoke on wartime conditions in Serbia and shared vivid accounts of suffering in France Belgium Italy and England. Rev Dr Robert Bagnell of Harrisburg just returned from Europe also addressed the crowd.

Dr. urges support for Fourth Liberty Loan rally

The speaker spoke briefly due to another meeting that evening at Hummelstown. He noted that soldiers overseas watch Americans closely and expect bold support for the Fourth Liberty Loan. Four soldiers and a chorus of girls led singing with Harrisburg Municipal Band accompaniment.

Hershey Reserves Seek 125 to 250 Members This Week

The Hershey Reserves meet Mondays and Fridays on the Press building third floor. Enrollment has passed 125. organizers aim for 250 war strength. Capt. Stine of the Harrisburg Reserves drilled the locals Tuesday, praising officers and urging all members to attend at 7 30 sharp each week.
