Deichler Resigns From Hershey Construction Posts
Robert Deichler, who led outside construction in Hershey for years, resigned his job during the week. He supervised projects at the reservoir on Prospect Weights, the Hershey Transit Company barn, the power house at Sand Beach, and other Hershey Chocolate Company buildings. Mrs Daichler will stay in Hershey until after the year’s harvest. Both Deichlers are well liked in Hershey and his departure is regretful.

Runners to Lancaster for Hershey Thanksgiving Run
About 16 Hershey athletes will race to Lancaster on Thanksgiving morning, leaving the Men's Club at 8 and arriving around 11 30. An auto truck will accompany the group to the Lancaster Y M C A where showers and a swimming pool will be used. Sad accident injures Hershey youth Fred Clark
An 18 year old Hershey resident, Fred B Clark son of Mr and Mrs Samuel D Clark, was seriously wounded when a gun exploded while he searched for a rabbit behind his home. Fire destroys farm house and barn near Hershey
A devastating blaze Monday evening consumed Henry Baum’s east Hershey farm house and barn, with losses over 15000 dollars. The origin remains unknown. water shortage hampered Hershey Fire Company. Two cows and two calves perished while stock and belongings were saved with help from passing Harrisburg motorists and nearby residents. The barn, tools, and crops were destroyed though the home stood. The two overnight tenants, peddlers staying in the barn, were briefly detained but released. Henry Baum and tenant Jacob Baum held insurance with local Church of the Brethren.
