Gordon expresses satisfaction with his primary election result in the 2nd Dauphin district though not securing the nomination. He notes 71 of 85 votes in his home precinct and over 1800 total votes district wide, praising support despite opposition within the party.
George Brunner of Palmyra died at Good Samaritan Hospital Lebanon from lead poisoning tied to his occupation as a wood worker and proprietor of Palmyra Coach Works. He served in Regiment 21y Co H Pennsylvania Volunteers and belonged to G A R Camp 21, P O S of A. Choirmaster at St. John's Lutheran Church, native of Sinking Spring, funeral held at his home and church with burial in Palmyra cemetery.
About 500 people attended the third annual May Hop at Her shey Park on a Wednesday. The hall was tastefully decorated with ferns and greenery. ladies wore elegant costumes. Grand march led by Mr. and Mrs. Diehm and Mr. Romig with Miss Alwine. carnations given to each lady. Prof Peese directed music and Mr. Witmeyer of Palmyra sang with orchestra. dancers enjoyed a novel performance. Most guests said they would attend the fourth annual Hop next year.
The Spring Creek Brethren love feast drew a larger crowd on Ascension Day. Mr and Mrs Goley and Mr and Mrs J M Mohler of Mechanicsburg attended, wearing relatives of Mr and Mrs George W Henry. The visitors toured the park and surroundings and favored Hershey as a potential site for the 1915 annual conference.

The Annville High School Alumni Association held its annual banquet at the Hershey cafe on Friday evening for about 80 guests. Decorations in red and white with red carnations at each plate framed post-prandial toasts by toastmaster Albert Shaud and speakers Herman Hostetter, Esther Bachman, Herman Long, Goldie Waldner, and Minnie Hicks, followed by dancing.
