Silver Tea by Ladies Guild a Success
The Silver Tea held Thursday night by the Ladies Guild of Derry Presbyterian Church at the Woomers home drew over fifty guests. The event featured music and readings with performances by Mrs. W. S. Blarvey Miss Anna Harlan Miss Beulah Shutt Charles F. Zeigler and others. The Guild raised more than 30 to fund construction of a new Manse beginning within the year. Gratitude was expressed to all who supported the fundraiser.

On May 1 Hershey Industries adopted daylight saving hours. The factory will open at 6 00 a m and close at 5 00 p m with lunch from 11 00 to 12 00. Workers gain one extra hour of daylight for recreation and agriculture.
