Victory Club to Render Fine Program

The Victory Club of the YWCA will stage a May 8 event at Central Theatre featuring a moving picture and vaudeville acts by local talent. Proceeds fund educational entertainments for girls at the YWCA home. Little Miss Hoover featuring Marguerite Clark and Eugene O'Brien star in the film as Clark aids the Food Administration effort by farming with pedigreed hens.

May Hop to Feature Banjo-Saxo Orchestra of Harrisburg

The park manager announces the Banjo-Saxo Orchestra of Harrisburg will perform at the May Hop on Wednesday evening May 21. The well regarded group has a growing statewide tour and the event expects a large crowd from Harrisburg Lebanon and nearby areas with electrical and floral decorations and carnations for every attending lady.

Hotel rumor about Hershey denied by officials

Officials in Atlantic City deny a Philadelphia Harrisburg and Lebanon press report that M S Hershey will erect a large hotel there. An executive says there is no truth or foundation to the rumor and the origin is unclear, attributed to an imaginative reporter.

Gun Club Organized in Hershey Proclaims Progressive Aim

In Hershey a new gun club formed Tuesday evening in the Hose House with P. N. Kasson elected temporary chairman. Officers named for the year include EB B Lees president H A Stine secretary N Kasson treasurer A large automatic trap was ordered and will be installed as soon as it arrives. The old baseball diamond will host shoots with monthly meetings starting May 30 and plans for a clubhouse are under way. Park Theatre to Open with Moving Picture Show for Baseball Fund

Men's Club organizers plan a May 17 fundraiser at the Park Theatre to support the coming baseball season. The program includes Day Dreams with Madge Heaney, Pauli ng Parsons in a comedy, vaudeville sketches, and musical numbers, with admission set at twenty five cents. Team opens season in Middletown next Saturday.

Red Cross Notes at Hershey Branch May 8 Meeting May 6

The Hershey Branch of the Red Cross Society will open Thursday May 8 during regular hours with Harrisburg Chapter allotments. Local officials urge members to respond Thursday. The regular monthly meeting is Tuesday night May 6 with Mrs Esbenshade, branch president, addressing.

The Price of Peace at Central Theatre

The Price of Peace, shown at Central Theatre this evening, has drawn crowded houses in Harrisburg all week and is described as one of the most remarkable films. Lieutenant Anderson and a Red Cross nurse will give talks on the subject, and admission is free.
