Push-of-war scheme aims to replace tug of war
Dr J A Reilly, athletic director of the Kansas City Athletic Club, unveils "Reillys push-of-war" a new group exercise using a padded vertical frame for twenty men to push from both sides across a 22½ foot court. He claims it activates all muscles and adds competition, planning to organize multiple teams once the gym is equipped. A Paris museum plan to display Marie Antoinette’s cell relics with a 1,000 franc grant is also noted.
