The Dauphin County Farm Bureau moved to enlarge its work by launching a paid membership drive. Dues of five dollars annually will fund Bureau efforts and county appropriations. membership offered on a three year perpetual plan. A. B. Shenk was named committee chair. Farm Implement Repair Week is set for March 14. Local farmers discussed corn variety tests, lime demo, and forming a swine breeding association.

New Station Change for Hershey Transit Express Car
Hershey transit announces a change of operation for the express car. The service will stop at the Ephrata Lebanon station at Eighth and Walnut streets for loading and unloading. The car departs the new station on Wednesday March 2 at 12 o'clock and will run daily thereafter.

The Hershey Chocolate Company given 2000 pounds of cocoa to the Near East Relief Committee in Harrisburg. The cocoa shipment will be credited to Dauphin County’s relief quota and shipped to New York City for direct delivery to a Near East Relief warehouse in the famine area.

Struck at Grade Crossing Claims Life of 22YearOld
Clarence A. Grissinger died several hours after his auto collided with a Philadelphia and Reading train at a Pike crossing one mile above Swatara Station. He was 22, from York, working in Hershey, and had ignored crossing signals while driving toward Hershey. He died at Harrisburg Hospital. Friends and family mourn the tragedy.
