Special meeting of the Young Men's Christian Association board accepted the resignation of James F. Garvin as physical director and drafted resolutions of appreciation. Albert Blaser of the University of Wooster was elected successor, arriving late June to oversee summer activities and bring Calisthenics and aquatics expertise. Mr. Eby noted for civil war substitute and long service reflects on moral and educational changes as he nears his eightieth birthday.

YWCA Planned June 20 Entertainment Highlights Local Talent
A youth event under Miss Herring of Harrisburg will stage The Doll Maker's Dream with fifty children. Over 100 participants will perform including readings, drills and choruses to raise funds for sending delegates to Silver Bay Lake George summer programs.

Dr Winfield S Hall Delivers Lectures On Manhood
Audiences in lectures at Lectures High welcomed Dr Winfield S Hall who spoke to the Junior department of the YMCA at 3 pm on the secret of manhood. More than 300 girls and women attended the 5 pm Women’s meeting, and over 250 men gathered for the 8 pm Young Man’s Problem address. The program included a YMCA Glee Club selection, a charted lecture, and Dr Hall’s book offered for sale. He departed for Harrisburg at 9:25 pm en route to Chicago.

Re-Election of GEORGE S. Stuart to Derry Schools Principal Post
GEORGE S. Stuart was re-elected by the board of education as principal of Derry township schools with a salary increase. D. D. Brandt was also re-elected principal of the High School. Flower Bed Work At Hershey Grounds Progress Report
JARRY HAVERSTICK, florist, has finished ten of twenty beds on Hershey grounds. For two days workers moved large plants from greenhouses to private grounds of Mr M S Hershey. Over 16 loads removed with more to go. A bed near the small green house shows three colors in a Turkish rug pattern. Another near Mr Hershey’s home features seven colors in an Oriental rug design.
