Rev. M Leroy Wachter marks three years at Trinity Lutheran Church on Sunday June 8, with a record of parish growth and $10 467 26 donated to benevolent causes. Members paid full apportionments yearly, renovated the church interior, improved the parsonage, installed an organ, and paid down mortgage debt. Over three years 1489 communicants joined from 125 active members. total contributions reached 28 327 26. The roll expanded to 230, with 102 new members. baptisms, confirmations, infant baptisms, weddings, and funerals occurred as attendance topped 53 875, with 352 sermons delivered. He maintained Gospel preaching amid social-issue appeals.

Miss Esther Snavely Wins High Honors
Miss Esther B. Snavely daughter of Mr and Mrs Rohrer Snavely of this place and a post graduate student at the Philadelphia School of Design for Women has won the P A B Widener European Fellowship for practical design. She will study in Paris and London in foreign museums and galleries under eminent European designers. Last year she received the Redwood F Warner Fellowship prize for one year advanced instruction after graduating from the same school. Her winning design woven by a large Philadelphia textile maker sold over 100 copies. Women’s design instruction covers linoleum wallpaper cretonne drapery fabrics rugs and other textiles.
