A large crowd enjoyed Memorial Day at Hershey Park with flower beds, a busy dance floor, baseball games, a top theater, a popular pool, and diverse amusements. Concerts by the Perseverance Band entertained vast audiences as Hershey Park showcased high spirits, beauty, and clean, hospitable surroundings for visitors.

Funeral services for William G Morrett were held at the residence on Areba Ave at 1:00 p m Saturday May 28. He died of Brights disease at age 50 years 2 months 14 days. He belonged to United Brethren Church and orders Odd Fellows and Knights of Pythias. Born in Mechanicsburg Pa he lived in Hershey for five years and worked as a shoemaker at Hershey Department Store. Twilight League forms rules and prize plan for season

The Baseball Board of Directors met at the Men's Club and formed a ruling committee to draft rules for the Twilight League season. Prizes were set for top batters, stolen bases, home runs, and fielding, with additional awards possible later. The group scheduled another meeting to finalize lineups, umpire selection, and the opening date.
