The upgrades add seven acres of space at about 385000 for building plus equipment costs. First United Brethren Church Hershey saw 287 in Sunday School and a 45 member men’s class. S. D. Clark led an engaging address, Dr. M. L. Hershey directed spirited singing, and Rev. Gerberich Family Reunion Seeks 1914 Gathering
The seventh biennial Gerberich Family Reunion will be held at Mrs. Magerle Mador's Grove near Huarpox's in Hanover Township Lebanon County on Thursday August 19 1914. Roll Call honors Andrew Garberleh who settled in Philadelphia in 1754. Officers listed include William Gorberich president Edwin G Gorberich vice president Harrison J Gerberich treasurer Edwin T Gorberich secretary and others from Hanover and Marion townships. The event also marks the 100th anniversary of the Gorbarich family's arrival in Amantlen.

Hershey Lutheran congregation advances to dedication of the Holy Trinity Church at Cocoa and Granada Avenues. Ground broke May 19 1918 and cornerstone laid September 21 1918. The 70 by 35 foot limestone Gothic edifice seats 200 and forms part of a larger cruciform plan.

From Hayfield to Zoo Frantz Zinner Seeks Carnivore Exhibits
Hayfield resident Frantz Zinner aims to populate the Zoo with carnivores including a young lioness described as beautiful. Farm worker Frank Hare found four small carnivores on Hershey farm. they resemble kittens but are black with white spots and long fur. They were confined for safety before being taken to the Zoo where similar caution was used. The animal is identified as Mephitia mephitier, an American mephitine carnivore. Additional Mephitidae were recently captured on the same farm.

Storm Ravages Lancaster Juancaster County Farmland
A severe storm last Saturday struck Juancaster County causing extensive damage. Lightning hit a large bank barn near John TH Shank farm and wildfires destroyed stored crops and tools. Hail and floodwaters ruined tobacco and corn fields while trees were uprooted and roads blocked by debris.

Death of Sheriff Coppenhaver After Long Illness in Lebanon
Marty Coppenhaver of Tabanon former sheriff dies Saturday after six months illness at age 60. Born in Hockeraville Dauphin County he worked as a painter before serving ten years as sheriff then remained active in Lebanon. Survived by wife Elizabeth Bingham and children Harry Grace Elizabeth Robert Carl and Harry Wapnev. Funeral Thursday at the Reformed Cemetery in Campbellstown.
