Fire destroys Hershey barn on Lebanon county farm
A large barn at Her shey farm number 17, near New Hanover in Lebanon County, burned last week. Investigators found no cause after questioning. Losses included 400 to 500 bushels of oats, 110 tons of silage, 8 to 9 tons of hay, 26 tons of straw, a horse wagon and a hay ladder.

The Hershey Union Sunday School committee met to finalize arrangements for the Boiling Springs excursion on Tuesday August 10. Buses depart Hershey at 8: 00 am and return from Boiling Springs at 7: 00 pm. Round trip fare is 80 cents with 40 cents for children ages 6 to 12 and free for under 6.
