Industrial School at Hershey to Open in September

Preparations are underway for the Hershey industrial school opening in September founded by M. B. Hershey. It will be a manual training and agricultural institution for orphans from Dauphin, Lancaster and Lebanon counties. Boys aged six to eight will enter and stay until eighteen, with a path to work at the chocolate plant. The institution requires guardians to bind the child over and excludes those with physical or moral defects. Hershey plans to return by July 10 to finalize admission terms.

Hershey briefs report Mrs Mary Weist and Mrs Lydia Len ker of Millersburg as guests of Mr and Mrs Geo Copenhaver over the weekend.
