The contract with the American Vaudeville Company governs next season at Hershey Park Theater. A weekly change to a new show each Monday and Thursday aims to raise the class and variety of performances. The lineup will feature vaudeville musical comedies minstrels and dramas with admission set at 5 and 10 cents.
Mrs Nissley and her daughter Catherine narrowly escaped coal gas poisoning at their Hershey home. Discovered unconscious around seven in the morning the mother and daughter were revived after doctors treated them for several hours. Both have since recovered.
The Hershey Y M C A reports rapid rise in membership with both teams gaining applicants. A public rally tonight will display team standings on two large thermometers. Activities include volleyball, wrestling, tumbling exhibitions, plus reading room entertainment. The drive closes next week with a February 3 counting and a reception at the Y M C A.
Beginning Wednesday February 7 the Hershey band and orchestra will hold dances in the Hershey dancing pavilion. Dances occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 8 p m with admission 20 cents for gentlemen and 30 cents for ladies. Bandmaster Feese plans to add oboe and bass to the Hershey band soon.
Mr. O P Beckley of Harrisburg spoke at the Y M C A on the Men and Religion Forward Movement. His earnest appeal urged men to take hold of church work. about fifty men attended and stated they were well pleased with the message.
All Y W C A members are urged to attend at 7 30 this evening in Park Gymnasium. Bring one new member and invite strangers. Social and music committees promise an interesting program and a good time. Your help is needed.
