Hershey Farm Show Brims With Large Attendance
The fourth annual Lower Dauphin County Corn Potato and Poultry Show at the Hershey Implement building drew farmers and families from many communities. The event moved to larger quarters and showcased extensive home economics displays by women and girls, school exhibits, and a wide range of judged entries. Nearly 150 articles filled the home economics department with many prizes awarded across jams jellies needlework crafts quilts and more. A pig weight guessing contest drew over 600 entrants and the top guesses won with John Moyer Jr Curry’s name later announced as final winner.
