Independents Rout Rockwood Five In Midweek Victory
The Harrisburg Independents defeated the Rockwood Five of Philadelphia 40 to 30 in midweek action. After a 14 14 first half deadlock the Independents surged ahead in the second half, with every player scoring and 16 field goals shared. Shoplifter Arrested in Derry Church Case
William Baker a Philadelphia resident was arrested by Officer Ralph Fiore on shoplifting charges. Officials say he confined his thefts to Wingst's Store in Derry Church and possessed several pairs of shoes trousers and underwear when seized. He waived a hearing before Squire Miller and was remanded to Dauphin County jail in Harrisburg.
