Edward Dearie Jr. has reworked the nine-hole course and eyes plans for an 18-hole expansion on the Highland Park hill site. Storms Hurt Crops Around Hershey Despite Large Yields
Reports from the state agriculture bureau through August 5 show wheat damaged by Hessian fly in half the counties with a two week harvest delay. Oats acreage stands at 1,105,000 with 83.6 bushels per acre and total near 37,017,500 bushels, up 5 million from 1914. Buckwheat 277,200 acres with 19.8 bushels per acre. potato output about 24,405,000 bushels at 89.6 per acre.

Middletown Fair Arrangements Announced in Dauphin County

The Hershey Planing Mill at the west end of town is among the busiest enterprises in Hershey. Twenty two workers are employed and the mill supplies building materials to Hershey and external concerns. Recent upgrades include a Tenoner for sash and door work, individual motorized machines, improved office, and new fixtures. They are furnishing materials for pergolas, two double houses on Granada avenue, a house for F F Kegerreis and H M Lindemuth, three double houses on Wagner farm, a meeting house for the Church of the Brethren, and several other residences and a piggery project.

An automobile outing for the aged shut ins and children of Hummelstown was held Thursday under Derry Council No. 40 Jr O U A M. Twenty nine automobiles carried guests from Hummelstown park to Hershey and back. The list of donors included many residents from Hummelstown Hershey Union Deposit and surrounding areas. The event drew an appreciative crowd of men and women with some riders over seventy years old.
