Elmer Erb Elected Principal of McKinley High School
Elmer Erb of Hockersville has been elected principal of McKinley High School to succeed D D Brandt who resigned to enter the ministry. Erb, formerly a school principal in the area, left teaching to study law at the University of Michigan and graduate last June. He plans to take the bar exam later this year while the schools continue under Prof George S Stuart and Prof Erb, promising a year of progress.

General Secretary Resigns From Hershey YMCA
The resignation of C. S. Gee as general secretary of the Hershey YMCA was accepted by directors at their regular meeting last Monday. Gee will depart September 6 for Geneva Ohio and then Auburn New York to enter the Theological Seminary led by Dr. George B. Stewart. He also recently resigned as editor of the Hershey Press and a successor will take over around September 4.

Mr Gee travelled to Silver Bay to recruit a secretary for the association. A competent applicant was secured and presented at Monday's board meeting. If mutual acceptance follows, the candidate will assume duties after reviewing the field.

Will Now Apply For Charter For Young Men's Association
The Young Men's Christian Association plans to obtain a charter under Pennsylvania law. An earlier error required amending the plan and increasing trustee numbers to six. Trustees elected by ballot are P. N. Kasson, J. R. Kreider, Rev. O. G. Romig, Harry S. Moyer, B. L. Bomgardner, and A. W. Snavely. The board will organize and classify terms. The charter application will be filed soon with added trustee names.

Hon John H Reid Next Speaker At Community Service
The union church theater gatherings draw about 600 attendees last Sunday evening. Rev I Moyer Hershey and Rev O G Romig assisted. Mrs Mary Stedman and others provided special music. Dr J Beveridge Lee delivered the Exodus inspired address. Reid previously spoke on the Three Principles of Life. Special music by the Y M C A Glee Club planned for next Sunday.

Kathryn Potter delivers new up to date songs. Bob and Bertha Hyde present a funny original act. Billy Davis, nicknamed The 20th century comedian at Keith's, performs a word for word monologue and sings. Jeanette McDonald, a clever child artist, changes costumes and closes with a back dance that earns applause. The Bragdons finish with lively instrumental selections. The audience is in an uproar from start to finish. They are booked for the Orpheum in San Francisco this winter and a burlesque boxing match closes the show, rewarding the audience with a final laugh.
