Hershey Volunteer Fire Company plans to repeat the benefit program An Evening With the Knockers with same cast and slight changes. Cast volunteers perform again on May 5th at Hershey Park Auditorium to raise funds for a fire bell, with reserved seats at 20 cents and general admission 10 cents.
The regular monthly meeting of the Fire Company will be held on Tuesday evening May 3. Important business will be transacted and your presence is requested.
The season opens with Hershey facing Middletown in a strong lineup battle. Hinkle is expected to pitch and the Hershey Band will perform before the 2:30 start. Admission is 15 cents for men and free for ladies.
The Hershey Improvement Company started Friday morning a large scav excavating to lay cement for a new walk from the Hershey Trust Company building to the existing walk in front of the Chocolate factory. A second walk will connect Chocolate avenue to the factory offices with new paving. We change men by changing their environment.
Hershey notes a crowded weekend with guests from Philadelphia Lebanon and Harrisburg. An Evening With the Knockers drew $10 seats for Mr M and Mr Lepkicher but the dance was canceled by bad weather after a track meet crowd waited at the pavilion.
