W F R Murrie addressed about 500 Hershey Chocolate Co women and girls in the factory’s women's room urging thrift during wartime. He urged buying Liberty Bonds to support the war effort and emphasized saving every penny for Uncle Sam.
Hershey hosts a three day auto show from Thursday to Saturday at the new Hershey garage on East Chocolate Avenue. Studebaker touring cars and International trucks will be on display with expert demonstrations and evening music by the Hershey orchestra.
Hershey mothers and fathers invite children and families to an afternoon and evening Mothers Day program on May 7. Admission is free and organizers promise a splendid program. further details will be printed later.

The lodging committee asks Hershey and Palmyra residents to prepare lodging data for the annual Brethren Conference due in Hershey in June 1918. Canvassers will seek beds and quarters and will introduce themselves to explain the lodging need. Prepare sleeping arrangements in advance.
A patriotic rally is set for Thursday evening April 18 at 8 o clock in the Hershey Central Theatre. Wm Jennings Esq chairman of Dauphin County Liberty Loan Committee James G Hartz Esq attorney and Hon Jesse E B Cunningham ex Attorney General of Pennsylvania will attend and address the meeting. Citizens are urged to attend and hear war issues discussed. Music will be provided by the Hershey Orchestra.
The Hershey Department Store announces an April Economy Sale on Friday and Saturday April 19 and 20 to help customers save money and invest in Liberty Bonds. A Liberty Bond rally and patriotic concert are planned for Saturday evening.
