The Victory Loan drive will open April 21 to fund war debts and unpaid military supplies. Hershey’s quota is around $300,000 with $50 and higher denominations and a weekly $1 or $2 installment plan offered by Hershey Trust Company. A local committee led by M. S. Hershey coordinates subscriptions from Hershey and nearby areas.

Pinkey Saylor Returns From War Service at Camp Dix
Hershey after discharge from government service Tuesday at Camp Dix, Pinkey Saylor arrived yesterday. He joined the 147th Infantry, 87th Division, which fought in most engagements over the last ten months. His unit was on the front line from July 27, 1919, until the armistice. The division marched 1100 miles on foot before sailing.
Newsboy King King Cole Visits Hershey Town
King Cole known as the Newsboy King stopped in Hershey during a world tour on his third and final voyage begun February 17 in Dayton Ohio with five cents fortune. He plans to finish in fall 1926 and credits outdoor life with good health after a tubercular past. He speaks 13 languages and carries letters from officials and prominent figures across cities and states. Cole then headed to Pittsburgh with pamphlets on Hershey industries for his album.

New Buildings to the Added Boy's School
Hershey Industrial School plans a new three story brick and granite building with gymnasium north of the current campus to house up to 1000 boys from Dauphin and Lancaster counties and beyond. McCord Arrested Again in Check Forgery Case
Hanoverdale youth Ralph McCord, previously paroled after joyriding, was arrested by state police for forging a three hundred dollar check to buy a motorcycle. Disguising as A J Hoffman, he altered a Harrisburg bank check for Hershey National Bank and left the bike at the roadside near Penbrook after dropping his registration. The owner identified him from the recovered machine and pocketbook, and McCord remains jailed in Harrisburg awaiting a hearing.
