Changes at Hershey Plant Parking Area
This week the Hershey Chocolate Corporation opened a new entrance at the west end of the plant parking lot accessible via a new street between the Bank Building and the Women's Club. The former entrance by the Post Office Building is discontinued, with traffic now controlled by signals at Chocolate Avenue and Chocolate-Cocoa Avenues. U turns at the light are prohibited. A divider was erected from the Bank rear to Reading Railroad Station, with Park Avenue access to the rear parking opposite Hershey Department Store. No parking spaces were lost, and a slight net gain was achieved to improve traffic during peak times.
