Schools Observe Education Week Observances in Hershey High and Elementary
Derry Township public schools mark American Education Week with open houses on Monday for grades ten to twelve and Thursday for grade school parents. Ten through twelve parents followed their children's class schedules in fifteen minute periods and viewed an educational film after an instrumental music program. The elementary event offered informal discussions to acquaint parents with facilities methods and curriculum.

High School Student Council Induction Ceremony
Induction ceremonies were held in Hershey Senior High School during the weekly assembly. The Hershey Lions Club completes a blood typing drive under Dr H H Stauffer chairing the Health and Welfare Committee. The aim is to record each member’s name and blood type at Hershey Hospital so members can be contacted as donors if needed and to prevent delays in medical needs.

Reverend Glenn Rader to be Installed at Hershey Church
The Rev. Glenn Rader will be formally installed as pastor of Hershey United Church of Christ at a special service on Sunday evening November 16 at 7 30. Presiding will be Rev Dr Truman Crist of the Lancaster Synod with speakers Rev Dr David Dunn and Rev Dr Charles Zweizig. Other participants include Rev James Reed and Rev Charles Strassbaugh. Rader has led services since April 1 and lives at 518 West Chocolate Avenue.
