U S Labor Dept Official to Speak at Memorial Day in Hershey
H Stewart Potter of Arlington Va former chief of printing for the Labor Department will address the Der ry Township Memorial Day Observance at the Court of Honor in the Community Building at ten o clock. Potter a Newport Perry County native and former Halifax resident has worked for the federal government since 1919 and taught at the U S Graduate School since 1934. He previously spoke at Hummelstown Memorial Day in 1955 and is well known in Central Pennsylvania. Mrs Potter accompanies him and they will be guests of Mr and Mrs Philip Burke of 106 Continued on Page Four.

Cocoa Bean Silos Expansion At Hershey Underway
Reconstruction of eight new circular cocoa bean silos at the Hershey Chocolate Corporation is under way to add to the existing sixteen. The project features 180 ft towers, 30 ft diameters, 12 ton per sq ft footings, and a capacity rise toward 90 million pounds. New interspaces and a vast conveyor system enable rapid unloading at 110 tons per hour and reclamation at 70 tons per hour for processing.

Fire Company Sets Date For Appeal Campaign
The Hershey Volunteer Fire Company schedules the week of June 10 for its 1957 Financial Campaign to fund annual operations and a new emergency rescue truck. Campaign Committee Chairman C. J. Speicher, who led the 1954 Hershey Ambulance Corps fund drive, calls a meeting for Thursday, May 23 to finalize plans.
