Songstress Gwen Hess Named Hershey Ambassador to Canada
Gwen Hess a 17 year old Hershey High School student daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles S Hess will be Hershey’s ambassador to Canada for the summer. She will sing at the Royal York Hotel Toronto under orches tra leader Moxie Whitney and opens her engagement in May. Hess rose to prominence as a 1952 Horace Heidt talent show winner.

Tobey Sternberger of 38 West Chocolate Avenue was honored by 126 colleagues in a Thursday retirement ceremony from the Hershey Chocolate Corporation after 42 years. The event at the Lebanon Farm Bureau Building featured a This Is Your Life style program, surprise guests, a family dinner, ventriloquism, songs, and a retirement wallet gift of 66 dollars plus a red rose boutonniere.
