The Hershey Lions Club mailed sight saving seals this week under co chairmen Russell Zentmeyer and John M Reese. Proceeds fund cataract operations glasses and eye exams. The club lists hospital beds wheelchairs crutches a walking trainer and a projector for bedfast residents in Derry Township.
Ann Y. Olena daughter of Mr and Mrs Ben Olena has accepted a position as counselor at the Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School of the University of Chicago. The Orthogenic school is a school for emotionally disturbed children. Miss Olena is a graduate of continued on page three.
Thirty Aspinwall high school students visit Hershey for a week as the first phase of an exchange with Hershey High students who will visit Aspinwall March 10 to 18. Activities include a Rotary luncheon, a Governor’s reception, tours of the Chocolate Factory, the State Police Training School, and the Milton Hershey School.
Donald R. Fenstermacher, son of Dr. and Mrs. Varnum H. Fenstermacher, earned the Eagle Scout rank with Troop 76 and Cub Scout roots. He was recognized at a Hershey Rotary Club luncheon during Boy Scout Week as the troop, led by Scoutmaster George W. Lazorjack and sponsored by Spring Creek Church of the Brethren, also saluted older Eagle Scout Hayes Fenstermacher and Scouting’s anniversary.
Hershey High School senior Arthur Whiteman Jr. is selected to attend the Music Educators National Conference in St Louis to play cello in the Golden Anniversary Festival orchestra. The event runs April 13 to 17.
