Judges were John Meszaros Rose specimens and House plants and mrs. Ralph m. Kolze Camp Hill mrs. Claude Greiner Hummelstown and mrs. David Hoff Harrisburg. Continued from pod one the Milton Hershey school and Hershey High school. This year one of the projects was to place new seats on the shuffleboard courts. In order to eliminate deterioration of the seating by moisture the seats were placed on Angle Iron brackets. The brackets were made in a press specially constructed by students in the Hershey High school maintenance shop ii sing an Auto Jack and other bits of equipment available at the school. The boys worked under the direction. Of Gilbert Lugar maintenance shop instructor. Thirty three of the seating brackets were made in this in addition to replacing All seats at the shuffleboard courts the maintenance shop students replaced the Metal supports on the banking boards of the outdoor basketball court. Other funds to be expended at the playground this year will involve the re surfacing of the football practice Field and painting of much of the equipment and the Fence in that by society or j. P. Fitterer of Hershey has been accepted for membership in the Pennsylvania chiropractic. Society and will establish his office in i Hummelstown. A graduate of Hershey High school in 1948, he took his preprofessional training at Hershey Junior College and Lebanon Valley College. He is a Veteran of four years in the Navy.
