Health Council reelected Bierstein and officials
John Bierstein was reelected chairman of the Advisory Health Council at its bi monthly meeting. William Hartsock was chosen vice chairman and Mrs Eliz beth Goodwill was reelected secretary. The school nurse report covered 969 pupils in Grades One Three Seven and Eleven with nine percent defects and seventy percent corrected. The council urged legislators to oppose budget reductions for school examinations and to support full stops for school buses. Private Russell Catshall reported the Safety Patrol won $25 and was praised by local clubs and the PTA. Hershey Estates will repaint crosswalks this summer while state highways are painted by the state.

Judge Harold R. Medina will address Milton Hershey School graduates on Monday night in the Hershey Community Theatre. The speaker, noted for his role in 1949 trials of eleven American Communist leaders, will speak on the theme By Their Fruits Shall Ye Know Them. Doors open to the public at 7 20 p m without tickets while seats remain. before 7 20 admission is by ticket only.

Roses Reach Peak at Hershey Gardens This Weekend
The rose season peaks this weekend at Hershey Gardens with about 42 000 plants in full bloom across five and a half acres. Harry L Erdman Hershey Estates chief horticulturist says the display will be strongest Saturday and Sunday. Gardens open daily 10 am to 8 pm and admission is free.
